1. Introduction

DIGITAL CAB PTY LTD (ABN 43 688 386 683, AFSL 459050) ("Digital Cab", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains how we collect, hold, use, disclose and protect your personal information.

2. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on the services you use, and may include your name, date of birth, residential address, identification documents, email address, telephone and mobile number, bank account details, transaction history, employer and occupation details, and any information you give us in the course of using our services.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal information to provide foreign exchange and remittance services, process transactions, verify your identity as required by law, manage our relationship with you, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including under the AML/CTF Act, the Corporations Act, and tax law.

4. SMS & text message communications

Where you provide your mobile number and opt in, Digital Cab may send you SMS text messages, including:

  • Transactional messages — payment confirmations, security codes, and account notices related to your account or an enquiry you've raised.
  • Marketing messages — exchange rate alerts, promotions, and service updates, sent only where you have separately opted in to receive them.

Your consent, your control. Consenting to receive marketing SMS is never a condition of opening an account or using our services. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply based on your carrier plan. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message, by unchecking the SMS marketing option in your account settings, or by contacting us using the details below. Reply HELP for assistance. We will action opt-out requests promptly.

We do not sell or rent your mobile number to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. Cross-border disclosure

We may disclose personal information to recipients located outside Australia, including banks, payment providers and correspondent institutions, in order to complete your transactions. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the APPs.

6. Data security & retention

We use physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your information, including access controls, encryption and staff training. We retain identity verification and transaction records for seven years after the end of our relationship, as required under the AML/CTF Act, and destroy or de-identify information once it is no longer required.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you at any time, free of charge. We aim to respond within 30 days. You may also opt out of direct marketing, including SMS marketing, at any time without charge.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have breached your privacy, contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au, or to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) at www.afca.org.au (member no. 34555).

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and any account you open with DIGITAL CAB PTY LTD (ABN 43 688 386 683, AFSL 459050). By accessing this website or registering for an account, you agree to be bound by these terms. Our financial services are also subject to a separate Client Agreement and, where relevant, a Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and Target Market Determination (TMD).

2. Use of the website

This website is intended for your personal or business use in connection with Digital Cab's services. You must not copy, resell, or republish material from this site, or use it for any unlawful purpose. Information on this site is general in nature and does not take into account your personal objectives, financial situation or needs.

3. Accounts & registration

Submitting a registration or "Open an Account" form is an expression of interest only and does not itself constitute an account application. Account opening is subject to our standard onboarding procedures, including identity verification under the AML/CTF Act. We reserve the right to decline any application at our discretion. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential, and for all activity conducted using your account.

4. SMS marketing program

By checking the SMS consent box on our registration or contact forms, you agree to receive recurring marketing and informational text messages (such as exchange rate alerts, promotions and service updates) from DIGITAL CAB PTY LTD at the mobile number you provide.

  • Consent to receive marketing SMS messages is not a condition of opening an account or purchasing any service.
  • Message frequency varies depending on market activity and your preferences.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
